Description	ASTS is dedicated to providing exposure to the field of transplantation to medical students by supporting summer mentorship opportunities under the guidance of an ASTS member.
Amount	$3,500 paid in one installment to the Awardee’s institution.
Funds support	Stipend/salary support
Applicant Eligibility Please review these eligibility requirements carefully to ensure that you apply for an appropriate grant.	Medical Student with an interest in transplantation. Proposed research project must be transplant related (clinical or basic science) and performed under the direction of an ASTS member.
Submission Requirements	Online Application Form. Narrative:  One page (500 word maximum) that explains the proposed research (provided by applicant with input from the ASTS member).  Autobiography:  1 page maximum explaining student's educational background.  Briefly state the reason for applying for the grant and future plans and goals.  Budget: 1 page maximum  Letter of Support from the ASTS Member Sponsor  CV
Other Requirements	A report to the ASTS National Office must be submitted at the conclusion of the internship.
Other	4 grants available annually * The funding of ASTS research grants is contingent upon the availability of funds and the receipt of qualified applications.
