Membership Activities

Current and Recent Committee Activities

1) Creation and distribution of new Membership brochure to better display the benefits of being an ASTS member.

2) Development of a dual membership with NATCO, the Organization for Transplant Professionals

3) Development of an Advanced Transplant Providers Committee that consists of nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other advanced clinicians

4 ) Maintaining a legacy component to the Society, the Committee has implemented an event for Senior ASTS Members in conjunction with the Vanguard Committee which takes place during the ASTS State of the Art Winter Symposium. A senior member is invited to present a past paper and also present during the ASTS Mentorship Awards ceremony

5)  The membership voted during the May 8, 2007 Annual Business meeting in San Francisco, CA to eliminate the publications requirements as criteria to become an ASTS member.
