Minimum Applicant Criteria

Candidates must have satisfactorily completed a residency that satisfies the educational requirements for certification by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Urology or foreign equivalency (as determined by individual institutions).

Registering for the Match

Transplant Fellowship Programs and Applicants must register for the Match.  The Match will open on January 12, 2011 which means Transplant Fellowship Programs as well as Applicants can start registering on this date.

Transplant Fellowship Programs

Transplant Fellowship Programs should register and activate their program on the NRMP site as soon as possible after the Match opens.  This provide Transplant Fellowship Programs with visibility to potential applicants.  Program Directors are issued passwords that will allow them to post a link to their program's website throughout the Match period.  There is an institutional fee of $250, a $25 program fee, plus $25 per matched applicant (fees subject to change).  NRMP will invoice Programs after the Match is completed.

Applicants/Potential Transplant Fellows

Applicants must also register for the Match at http://www.nrmp.org/.  Applicants will be issued a password to access Transplant Fellowship Programs information and to access the Rank Order List.  There is an applicant fee of $65 that must be paid via the internet with a credit card or internet check at the time the applicant registers for the Match.  Applicants should familiarize themselves with the NRMP site and register on the NRMP site to participate in the Match.
