Candidate & Surgical Associate Membership 

The ASTS welcomes surgeons, physicians,  non-physician scientists and surgical associates who are actively engaged in transplantation.

Candidate Membership

Candidate Membership shall be limited to Fellows in transplantation and/or individuals who would otherwise be regular members, but have not yet met all the requirements for Regular Membership at the time of application but expect to meet all requirements of Regular Membership within five years of application.

Surgical Associate Membership

Surgical Associate Membership shall be limited to allied health professionals directly involved in surgical care of transplant patients including physician assistants, nurse practioners, transplant coordinators and procurement coordinators.  Associate members must have a minimum of one year experience in transplant surgical patient care and must be sponsored by a full member of the ASTS. In addition, letters of recommendation will be provided by the ASTS president and membership chair.  Please select Drs. John Roberts and Paul Kuo when prompted by the online application.  Annual dues are $125 which includes an online subscription to the American Journal of Transplantation.
