Research

The ASTS Council appointed a Task Force on the National Insitutes of Health (NIH) to advocate for transplantation science and research issues of concern to ASTS members. The Task Force on NIH communicates with the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the National Institute on Digestive, Diabetes and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) to promote transplant related research.
