Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Fellows
Below are commonly asked questions about our new TAC portal. If you any additional questions, please contact
TACC@asts.org
How do I sign in?
You will use the same login for the TAC Portal as you do for your ASTS Member Portal. You do not need a separate account and the two accounts will remain connected.
Tips for logging in:
- Your username is your ASTS member portal email.
- If you no longer have access to your old email for password reset, please contact us.
Are my surgical logs in the TAC Portal?
Yes! Your surgical logs have been uploaded to the TAC Portal for you. For 2024-2026 Fellows, all surgical log cases logged in the old system by 7/24/2025 have been migrated for you. All 2025-2027 Fellows should begin logging their cases in the new system.
It looks like my summary numbers changed, what does this mean??
You may notice small changes to your summary, this is because a few of the fields were not populating correctly in the previous surgical log system. The Program Accreditation Committee made changes to correct this. Please review what each log counts towards in the link below. If you think something looks out of the ordinary, please contact us.
What defines which organ specialty bars I see on my fellowship surgical log page?
You will see the categories from your match slot and the categories that your Fellowship Training Program became accredited in within the first 12 months of your fellowship.
Why is it important that I log my cases during my fellowship?
In order for your surgical log cases to count toward your fellowship, they must be entered within the timeframe of your fellowship. This means you must log all of your cases before the final day of training. For example, if your fellowship is 7/1/2025-6/30/2027, log your cases between those dates. You will also only see the progress bars on your surgical log page during your fellowship dates.
