Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Programs

Below are commonly asked questions about our new TAC portal. If you any additional questions, please contact TACC@asts.org

How do I sign in?

You will use the same login for the TAC Portal as you do for your ASTS Member Portal. You do not need a separate account and the two accounts will remain connected. 

Tips for logging in:

  • Your username is your ASTS member portal email.
  • If you no longer have access to your old email for password reset, please contact us
 

Is the TAC Portal for Fellowship Training Program Directors and Fellowship Coordinators?

Yes, the TAC Portal is for Fellowship Training Program Directors and Fellowship Coordinators to manage their program information, reaccreditation applications, fellowship requirements, milestone submissions, and more. 
 

Will I complete my 2026 Fellowship Program Reaccreditation or Accreditation application in the TAC Portal?

No, the 2026 Fellowship Training Program Accreditation and Reaccreditation process has already opened in our previous platform and will remain in that platform. Go to the Program Accreditation page to access the applications, view the deadlines, and more information. 

You can expect to find the 2027 Fellowship Training Program Accreditation/Reaccreditation application in the new TAC Portal and more information will be sent out next year. 

 

Can I update my program information?

Now you can update your program information such as your address, website, and program email. This information will be displayed on the Program Directory. You can also update your fellow's information by clicking the "Update Fellowship" button. These changes will go through to TAC staff for approval and then be published onto the fellow's record.

Please note that in order to complete these actions, Program Coordinators must have the "Administrator" permission and Program Directors must have the "Program Director" permission. These permissions can be managed through the "Managed Roster" link. 

 

How will my fellows use the TAC Portal?

Fellows will use the TAC Portal to manage their fellowship requirements including adding their surgical log, registering for the Knowledge Assessment, registering for the Fellows Symposium, and submitting their certificate of completion request. This information will also be connected to their certification process post-fellowship.
