The 5th Canadian Society of Transplantation Organ Donor Surgical Skills Masterclass will be held at the Temerty Advanced Surgical Education and Simulation Centre, Toronto and virtually on Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23, 2025.
The course is designed to train junior surgeons and surgical fellows on the logistics, anatomy, and surgical techniques of abdominal donor organ retrieval. Prominent Canadian and International faculty will provide up-to-date information on organ preservation techniques, NDD and DCD techniques, ex-vivo perfusion topics, and back-table preparation of organs. During the 1.5 days course, participants will learn from lectures and interactive presentations as well as hands-on surgical skills development in organ retrieval.
